Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
- Pizza sauce
- Toppings of your choice (e.g. shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced pepperoni, sliced mushrooms, diced onions, etc.)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add the olive oil and warm water, and stir until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover it with a towel or plastic wrap. Let it rise for about an hour in a warm, draft-free place.
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large circle or rectangle, depending on the shape of your baking sheet or pizza stone.
Transfer the dough to your baking sheet or pizza stone. If using a baking sheet, lightly oil it first.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about 1/2 inch of crust around the edges.
Add your desired toppings, making sure not to overload the pizza.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
